Wow! Where did you find it?

Absolutely a great deal if all is in working order.

I paid almost $2300 for mine, new.

In the future, I might buy previously owned. I've done that with computers. No problem.

Don't know if you can get any extended warrantees any longer. You might want to check with Nikon. Do not buy third party warantee/insurance! These are rip-offs.

Yep tested it out from for like a half hour before I bought it from the guy. It's in my hot little hands right now

Found it on craigslist. I don't think the guy had any idea what he had...the lens alone is worth that.

In this neck of the woods, that lens sells for $575-650 used..... So, yeah, that is a very sweet deal if everything checks out.

Sounds like a great deal then provided you know how to truly test a camera out.

Have you seen any of the images full size?

Was it stolen?

US or gray market?

All in all, you may have gotten really lucky.

It is US...can't garuntee it wasn't stolen but it came in the original box that was beat up and you can tell the camera has been used because it needs to be cleaned. So it wasn't pristine like it was stolen from a store. LOL hopefully it's all good. I am looking at the pictures now and they look awesome. Super happy about it
