Hi fellas,
I have come down to these 2 lens Sigma 12-24mm F4.5-5.6 EX DG ASP HSM ( Cheaper) or AF-S NIKKOR 16-35mm f/4G ED VR Is the sigma as good as the Nikkor lens?

Well I always loved my Sigma 10-20 on my DX bodies, and just picked up a copy of the Sigma 12-24 to use on my D700 - its seems very good.
I would think one would want to choose between the 12-24 and the Nikon 14-24 not the 16-35--- they are different animals.

Nikon is also one of the very best when it comes to wide angle lenses. THe 16-35 is practically impossible to beat as a landscape lens.
What body are these lenses intended to go on.

If you don't need the lens right away, you may want to wait and see what happens when the Tokina 16-28 f/2.8 comes out.
