zoom and lowlight are an expensive combination in lowlight world I would suggest you look at a D5000 as it's a lower cost body with a good sensor and the kit 18-55 for a zoom and a 50mm 1.8 prime lens for lowlght, such a kit would cost 7-8 hundred I think, my knowledge of current prices is out of date
If you want cheaper, you have to sacrifice low light quality, the above kit is a fairly good compromise you can go cheaper and alot more expensive |

Ok let talk about the D5000
1-Low noise ISO sensitivity from 200 to 3200 but can expand to 6400...is this is good enough or what. 2-can i buy for the camera high mm lens for a good zoom and please tell me the kind of things i get when i bye this camera and the gear i need to buy.. |

for landscape photography, you'll really never be going away from ISO 100 or 200 anyways. Night photography, you never answered my question: is it just more landscape at night or do you want something that'll work well in low light? If it's just landscape, you'll still be sticking to ISO 100 or 200. long shutter speeds are your friends. If it's the latter (general low light capability), then the D5000 is fine.
the 18-55 that kits with the d5000 is a gem for the street price. Bundled with the 70-300mm or the new 55-300mm, you'll have great range for not too much. |

Well, higher ISOs are good, but wider apertures are just as good. High ISO = faster shutter, but more noise. Wider aperture = faster shutter, but less DoF.
Wide apertures pretty much means 35mm f/1.8 if you go for the D5000 as it won't autofocus with the 50mm f/1.8, but either way, you get a nice, cheap gem of a lens. So D5000 (with 18-55mm kit) + 35mm + 55-300mm = $1350. $950 if you opt out of the 55-300. Even cheaper if you go used/refurb. |
