Default Lost my date time Settings

Dear all,

All of a sudden one day my Nikon D5000 lost its date time settings. Unfortunately I am clicking with out seeing the settings for 2-3 days. When I transferred all the images from camera to computer it showing wrong date and time. Is there any utility to correct these including the metadata/exif information RAW & JPG. Please help me regarding this issue.

Thanking you.
Pranab

How did it lose the date/time settings? That's the bigger issue

Theres not much way of doing the EXIF manipulation automatically in a batch: you'd have to do it individually. Unless there's a particular reason for having the time and date, though, what does it matter?

Dear OsmosisStudios,

Thank you for looking into my problem. The photos I have taken for one photography competition, but my clock was 12hrs late at that time so before sending these to the competition I have to correct the date, otherwise they will reject. I have taken sunset in the morning time.

If I correct it in final JPG (converted from RAW) file in property then also in the exif file it is showing the camera time. So my problem is that, I am arranging my files in date wise so it is not a problem for me. Please help me if you have any idea.

Thanking you again
With regards
Pranab

Then just tell them the time and date werent properly set. They'll clearly see that a sunset cant occur at 6am.

If they reject you, then there's not much you can do. Suck it up and take it as a learning experience.
