Default Can I go for D90

Dear all,

I am a Nikon D5000 user since the last one year. I am very pleased with this camera, but there is one limitation. I am unable to use old AF lenses with full functionality. I can go for manual focus, but there is also a limitation here. Its view finder is not as clear as in the D90. Hence, I am thinking of upgrading my camera. Rumor says that Nikon is going to upgrade their D90, so the price of the D90 is expected to come down. As my budget does not permit me to purchase a full frame model, will my upgradation to a D90 at a lower price be justified?.

Along with this, all AF-S lenses are much more costly then old/used AF lenses. Is there any solution to increase the performance of manual focusing in D5000. I have seen Katz split screen system which is not available at India. So I tried with old film camera focusing screen by reducing its size, but there also lot of light loss. Please advise.

Thanking you.
Pranab

The difference in viewfinder between the D5000 and D90 is small. Dont get me wrong: it's there. Its just not enough of a difference to justify.

If you wanted just the AF motor, then go for it. You'll also get the flash commander built in.
