Default Learning the D90

I am looking for an online course that will teach me all of the features of my D90. I have found a website: betterphoto.com Does anyone have any knowledge or experience with this site? Maybe another suggestion? Thanks!

I know it's dry and kinda techie, but the owners manual is a great place to start.

Owner's manual is good to tell you how to do something, but not necessarily why or when. Search D90 in Amazon books - there are loads of guides specific to that camera. I have one for my D5000 that has been very handy. Try that before you commit to a full course.

I'll bet there are some good videos out there. I found a good one for my D80.

Here's one to get you started: http://www.wonderhowto.com/how-to-op...a-251894/view/

Hi there!
I recently purchased a D90 myself, and agree that the owners manual is the best place to start learning your camera. However if your anything like me, then you probably appreciate more hands on learning.
I upgraded from a D60, and although the cameras are similar, there are many new buttons to play with & learn about. I have found the best place to learn how to use a particular function is in youtube.com.

As an example, I read & re-read the manual trying to figure out how to use the flash off camera via commander mode. I just couldn't figure it out, and thought maybe I had a lemon. I found a video in youtube taking me step by step, and that's all it took. I keep a note pad in my camera bag that i can refer to. In this case, using my flash off camera is not something I would do every time I use my camera, and rather then checking youtube every time, I simply take notes to be able to refer to.

Good luck with your new camera!!

Wendy

While most people disagree/don't like Rockwell, his plain English guides for Nikon cameras can be very helpful in understanding your camera.
