Macro lens for D90

Hi i am new to photography and want to try some macro shots. Can you please recommend a good macro lens for the D90. Budget is about $200au about $175 USA. would spend a bit more if it made big difference.

Nope, sorry. No can do.

Dedicated macro lenses arent cheap. You're looking at $500 or so for the cheapest ones. You can get macro through other means, but if you want a macro lens per se, then no, youre out of luck.

on the other hand, if you already have 2 lenses (one preferably manual, but not necessarily required), look into reversing rings and extension tubes. May or may not give you a "true" (1:1) macro lens, but its cheaper than a lens altogether.

Also, be wary of zoom lenses that are called macro. They usually only get up to 1:5 or 1:3
