I just bought a Nikon D5000 and I'm taking pictures better than I ever imagined I could. However, I'm liking some of the D90 features, so I'm considering adding a refurbished D90 body to my kit. That's so hard on the budget.

I actually ended up buying a refurbished D90 and really like it. I think it was definitely worth it just for the autofocus. I tried a friend's old non-autofocusing lens and it was a pain to use!

screw the book. The book's meant to help find answers to questions, not teach you. Here's what you do instead:
1) open box 2) find battery and charger 3) introduce battery+charger to the wall 4) twiddle your thumbs, tap your fingers, pace back and forth, et al. 5) go out and shoot.
