Hi, can I hope someone can help me (I'm pretty new at this). I have a D60. I am trying to shoot using a remote release. When I change the release mode to the remote release setting, it only lasts about 30 seconds, then it changes right back to "S" Shutter mode. I have tried everything. I just called Nikon Support and he told me THIS IS HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK. Are they kidding? I cannot believe that there isn't a way to change the duration of the release mode. I hope someone can help me with this, and much thanks in advance.

You can change how long the remote is to stay on in your menus.

Thank you! Yes, as Luke suggested, it is #17 in the menu called "remote duration" and I was able to change it from 1 minute to 15 minutes. Thanks to all for your help. I couldn't find that answer in my book, online at Nikon, or by talking to a Nikon technician (shame on them!) but I found it here so quickly. I'm glad I didn't give up, now I can try to get a photo of that hummingbird that keeps visiting the feeder in my yard!
THANKS AGAIN! Karen |
