Hi! =]
My name's Eve and I'm 15 years old. I am really into photography and currently I'm shooting with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ8, but I decided that I want to finally get a DSLR. The problem is that I have limited budget. After a lot of reading I stopped at Nikon D5000 and the Nikon D3000. I've read about both cameras a lot and I think that I''l get the D5000, but I would like to hear some feedback from someone who actually have it and uses it. Also the offer for both cameras are for camera body with 2 lenses - 18-55 mm and 55-200 mm. So I guess this is good? Also I am a little confused about the lences. Will I have a big choice later when I decide that I want other lenses? Thanks =] |

I'll start with the easy one: Regardless of what body you use, you'll always be able to use Nikon mount lenses. The plate where the lenses attach is the same for all Nikon dSLRs, so don't worry about that. The package with both the 18-55 and 55-200 is a usually a good deal: just do some homework and make sure that A) you're getting the VR version of both and that B) you're not paying more for them as a group than individually.
As for the body, I'd recommend the D5000. Much better sensor.
