Hey
I just switched from a Nikon D60 to a D90 and I noticed that when the AF point illumination turns on, the entire viewfinder gets a red tint. Whereas with the D60 only the current AF point lights up red. Is it normal on the D90, for the view finder to turn red? I am used to only the AF points lighting up. Also it seems like the brightness of the illumination changes. Is there a way to lock it to bright, it is hard to see when the scene is dark. Thanks |

I have not noticed the entire viewfinder getting a red tint on mine. However, as Raoul mentioned, the grid lights up and also as you mentioned the AF point does not seem to illuminate properly. Seems normal. I have not learned of a way to change the brightness yet.

This can also depend on which focusing mode you're in. The D90 has a lot more focus points, so if you're using the automatic AF, it could be choosing multiple points at the same time.
