Default ViewNX

Having some problems with ViewNX. When I open a folder like "Christmas 09", I see a picture mixed in from the "Easter 10" folder. But when I double click on the picture, the correct picture is what appears full screen.

I always name my folders as soon as I load the photos onto my computer. Then rename each photo the same thing as the album. I started doing this because I realized a few years ago that when I had two photo no. 008, that they would overlap each other.

I also have my camera set to continuous photo count. Some of the photos doing this now are from the D80 and D90.

This is not happening in my Windows Live Gallery.

Any opinions on this.
Thanks

There's a reason Nikon makes cameras and now software. Capture/ViewNX is one of them.

Will agree with you on that since it is not happening in my Windows Live Gallery program.

But I do like it because it really helps me learn because I can view all the EXIF on a photo. (see what I did wrong).

How are you transfering your photos from your camera to your computer? If you are not using Nikon's Transfer, I would recommend it. You can automatically rename the photos & make a instant backup of each photo. I've never had anything work wrong using Nikon software so I can't answer your particular question. Sorry!

I use Windows Live Photo to transfer my photos on my laptop. I don't have Nikon Transfer on it, but I do have it on my desktop and use it to transfer photos to it. I usually transfer them to both because I make a CD and back them up on the external hard drive connected to the desk top.

Default Transfering pictures

I use the card slots on my computer or printer to transfer my pictures. I had to take the programs that came with my D90 off of the computer because it interfered with my Adobe CS4 and Photo shop Elements programs. A card reader is the best bet if you have no other card readers.
