D5000 shoots bursts in interval shooting?

Ok. I bought David Busch's guide to the D5000 and in it he says that you can shoot bursts in interval mode and later he says you can't. I can't figure out how to shoot bursts in that mode but maybe I'm not seeing something. Can anyone help me out?

burst from what I understand would be the Continuous mode when selecting your "release" mode from the menu. The d5000 does 4 pictures per second. its located in the same menu where you would select the remote or timer or quiet modes.
