Default Upgrade to a D200?

Hi everyone,
quick question...would upgrading, from a FZ50 to a Nikon D200 be worth it?
I've been offered a cheap D200 (pre-owned, 3 lenses, extra battery + more) from a friends, friend (I'll find out more about it once I've phoned him back)
and I'm torn between what to do, I've read some reviews and the D200 has the same review after same review (good camera, etc etc, strong body blah blah)

I'm really just wanting to know if the jump would be worth making

Thanks.

I think it's definitely worth it.

I went from a Panasonic DMC FZ18 to a D90. Going from a bridge/superzoom to a DSLR is entering into a whole other world. Very different cameras. And, for me, a lot more fun.

As long as you don't need to shoot at high ISO with little noise, the D200 should serve you well.

Have you found out what lenses are part of the deal? In many ways, lenses are more important than the body.

awesome, I've told him I'd definately have it off of him
(well, when I get the money...shouldn't take me too long)

and yes, it's a 28-80mm lens
(there wasn't 3 lenses...that was my dad being ...well my dad)
he said his friend had a spare bag for it that he would throw in aswell

Money gets in the way too often, doesn't it? Hope you're able to upgrade soon.

Good move, the D200 is a great camera.
