Default Need Help on Walk around Lens

I purchased a Nikon D5000 with Kit lens "Nikkor AF-S-DX 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G-VR", after some time I purchase "Sigma APO 120-400mm f/4.5-5.6 DG OS HSM" as I want to reach long range. After that I purchased one "Nikkor AF-S DX Zoom 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED" (2nd hand) as a Walk around lens, but now I am totally upset with the lens. I repaired it for two times and now also it again stopped auto focusing within 2 days after last repairing. So I am thinking that now that it is high time to change my Walk around lens. I do not want to go for Nikkor due to the price factor.

Here, I opted for two lenses and these are "Sigma 18-250mm f3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM" & “Tamron AF 18-270mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC”. Generally I like full manual "Vivitar Series 1" lenses because of its "f/2.8". Here I will lose the range "2.8 to 3.5". And one thing is that “Nikkor 18-200mm VR f/3.5-5.6”, where I will “Sigma is f/3.5-6.3” &. “Tamron is also f/3.5-6.3”Another things I like to know that whether this lens having a all time manual override on it or not. I need little long reach in walk around lens (I am Bird & Animal lover but can't carry 120-400 all the time as it is heavy & also having Slip Disc Problem). Please give advice so that I can take the right lens.

Thanking you.

Send the 18-135 back. It should be under warranty and it should get repaired. If Nikon can't repair it, or has to repair it a certain number of times, they'll eventually just replace it.

But if it just came back from Nikon, they have to have something where they'll take it back ('cause they obviously didn't do jack squat)

Exactly: the lens carries a limited warranty after repair, I believe it's 60 days.
