Which of the nikon bodies share the same sensor. I've read that the D5000 and D90 have the same one. How about the other bodies, such as the D40, D50, D80, D300 and D700?

I have owned the D50, D80 and D90. And still get sharper results from the D50 than the other two. I know, operator error.

From what I have read, the D5000, D90, D300, and D300s all have the same sensor.

not quiiite. The D300s sensor is slightly different.

The sensors from the D40x, D60, D80 and D3000 are all the same though, as were the D200 and D2x/xs sensors.

D200 sensor is 10.1mp CCD and d2x/xs is 12.2mp CMOS
