Probably- I've seen the D300 go for as low as $950 on eBay (used, of course, some as low as 5k actuations for less than $1100). When in stock (i.e. not now), UsedCameras (D300 direct link) has them in "good" condition for $1030

really depends on how much you are getting the D200 for. It is a great camera and I use mine all the time as a second body, and I would gladly pick up a second one for the right price.
Of course the D300 is going to be better than the D200. But then you can also say that the D700 is better than the D300 and the D3 is better than the D700 and whatever Nikon comes out with next will be better than all of those. ad infinitum. Get the right camera for your needs at the right price and stop worrying about what features the latest greatest gadget has. If the D200 is the right camera for you and fulfills all your requirements and you can get it for a good price then I would not hesitate at all.

I guess it depends how good the deal is. You will pick up a motor for non-AF-S lenses and lots of dedicated controls and faster frame rate.

Well, guys the deal is a D200 (body) + 2 batteries + a SB 800 flash for about 1.300 dollars...
She´s an amateur selling the equipment because she didn´t like the camera very much, thought it was too heavy... |
