In the spring & summer, I really get that photography bug and my goal to to produce better photos each year & to learn more about my Nikon D40. I've had this camera for a year and there is still some much I don't understand and need to know. Since an actual photography class is not possible at this time, I've been looking for guides to help me master this camera and take better photos. I came across these two on Amazon & wonder if anyone has used either of them. Would it be worth it to buy both or will they just be a lot of the same?? The Dummies book is almost twice as much as the other, & I'm that's for the name or the quality.
Any advice would be great!! Nikon D40/D40x Digital Field Guide Nikon D40 For Dummies

Thanks ffscj3562130. I checked the Barns & Nobles website & found that they had both books, and a few others, and they via the website, I could browse the first few pages of each book. It looked to me like the field guide went more in depth, so I went to Amazon and ordered that one for considerably less than B&N wanted. I think I made a great choice. This book is VERY informative & I've already learned a few things just from the first 2 chapters. It talks about specific 'recipes' for various shooting situations and lens options & how lenses work and much more as well as the specifics of the D40. I would recommend this book to all new D40/D40x owners.
