D5000 Video

I can't find anywhere on the web how long the video clips can be on a D5000. I know on the D300s it's only 5mins in HD. Is this the same on the D5000?

From what I found, yes, the D5000's maximum clip length is 5 minutes, but if you have a choice between standard def and HD, at least on the D90 standard def is 20 minutes, and HD is 5. Still, I've never used it for that long

I recommend using the fastest memory card possible, or a minimum or 30 MbS per Sec at least. Cards slower than this speed will not be able to match the transfer rate of the buffer from the camera and will cut out even BEFORE the recommended recording time! Slow cards cut out at about 1 to 2 minutes! You think there is something wrong with the camera, but it's only the buffer cutting out...

I have a D5000 as Nicole said it's 5min on HD and 20min on standard definition. I'm surprised you didn't check your instruction manual and checked the internet instead, everything is in it!

If I had a manual, I'd check it. In fact if I even owned the camera, I would know how long the videos are wouldn't I?
So, since I was PONDERING buying the camera, it only makes sense that I would go on the internet and ask.
