hey mate, when it comes to Gelling the flash, what do you use?
i've found something which kinof looks a bit wierd.. a domed thing that clips on the front with different colour domes inside that.
have you got a link to what you reccomend?

i particularly want blue, red, and orange.. anything else is a bonus.

i definatley will. will send you a link.
i did get 1 reasonable shot last night but i'll take the weekend to have a fiddle. (even though its going to be a busy one!)
the problem i find is getting a studio style background and having a nice clean subject!.
might need to buy some card.

    aH,
its impossible to trigger with the onboard flash off. but on the D*) when you set flash power/ (manual or TTL) there is also an option of " -- " which makes the flash fire only just enought to not effect the exposure, but still trigger the sb600.

Christmas did come early.. see! crime does pay

    yup i've got a D80.
i can get the sb600 firing no problem and can change between ttl and manual.
but i cant figure out how to have only the sb600 firing and not the onboard flash.
is it possible? i tried the M and -- setting for onboard but it wont turn off.
