Hi Prime Time. I wanted to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year before I get too busy with this holiday season. Take care, and have a good one.

I tried downloading Gimp, but it would not work on my iMac. In fact, I tried installing it several times, and kept getting an error message. Are you on a PC? That program was made for PC's mainly. I will wait for Photoshop, and in the meantime continue to play with Lightroom. Thanks, though for the info, and the tips. Cheers.

Thanks paul, but i didn't use photoshop, i used gimp. It's free and you can set it up like photoshop. You can download it free and practice untill you get the real photoshop, which is better because it uses a 16bit file instead of 8bit with gimp.

You can also download UFRaw , compatible with gimp, for a raw converter.

I've been using it for a year now, and am ready for the photoshop change. Everything i've learned with gimp should transfer over to photoshop.

Give it a try...............learn how to use layers and it will help alot when you get photoshop.

    Cheers.

Hi Prime Time. I really like what you did with my B&W of the glacial lake. It sounds like a Photoshop job, and, unfortunately, I do not have that program yet. You are very insiprational though, and I see myself getting Photosho[p within a year. I'd buy it sooner, but my wife and I are traveling a lot this year and next year! : ) Cheers, mate.
