    Hi Chris, We just talked about that in this thread: http://digital-photography-school.co...ad.php?t=62660 I like the Tamron a lot I just wish it was a faster lens. If they could make it faster it would be by far my lens of choice. If I am hoping to get any action shots at all, I never pick the Tamron because I have missed too many shots in the past with it. I will say that I think I get sharper quality images from the Tamron than the Nikon and you can't beat that 15x factor. Hope that helps you decide. Stan
