I have been photographing jewellery for a few years now but recently had all my gear stolen.
![]() Would there be much advantage buying a DSLR camera with dedicated Macro lens over the NEW fuji FinePix S100FS with Fujinon 14.3x Optical Zoom 28-400mm lens? I am concerned whether the Fuji lens will be suitable. http://www.fujifilmusa.com/products/digital_cameras/s/finepix_s100fs/index.html Another concern is how much range does a dedicated macro lens have, will it shoot my larger A3 plus size necklaces ok? What camera – lens combo would be most suitable for under US $800, is second hand my only option? The size of the jewellery ranges from a small pearl to over A3 page size. I have the lighting pretty much sorted with soft box and daylight bulbs. Any info on smart budget solutions brands and model numbers would be great. Many thanks |
