I have a sony a100 with a nice sigma 24-70 f/2.8 macro lens on it.
Whenever I try to take pictures of flowers close up, the colours always seem to get washed out to the extent that I cannot tell one petal from another. Have tried shooting at lots of different apertueres and even in RAW but with no success. Any idea what I may be doing wrong/what i need to do to solve the problem? |

Hi, you need to put in the camera information, ie ISO setting, f stop, etc.
Your macro lens looks like a wide angle lens 24-70mm, if it has a 'macro' setting of 1:2 then you subject is only half the size. A dedicated macro lens will be 1:1. Also put on non better shots and information so people can give you some advice, otherwise they will guessing at what went wrong which may be of no help to you. Geoff
