Without really knowing what you are wanting help with, its hard to offer you a good critique.
I dont know what the thing is that the water drops is on but the texture is very interesting. Is it a leaf?
Did you create the yellow in post or was it lighting you were using?

Hi,

It's a leaf. I didn't use any lighting. The yellow color is natural and enhanced in the post. I'm a newbie (got my D40 4 months ago) and I'd really like to get your thoughts. Thanks a lot.

I was trying to figure out where could I be using this type of leaf. Then I probably could tell you what my thoughts. For some reason, I could not find a single theme for it. What is it that you are wanting to accomplish? I like objects that are yellow in color; but combined with black, I am not sure. However, If you can tell me your reason for making this object then I might say otherwise. I am guessing that this is a banana leaf?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I forgot the name of the plant. My idea was to capture the texture of the leaf as well as the raindrops.
