A beautifully sharp image there Jim, what a great tool for enhancing macro shots.

Perfect for those times when you REALLY need f/96! Like when you realise that you DoF for your 100mm macro is only just over a cm at minumum focus distance even at f/32!

Now to find a mac version!

Thanks, Capn!! Love your location! Cool upside down text!!

Thanks for the comments. I like Allie's work too. Difficult to produce those kinds of shots though without that Canon 65mm. I wish Nikon would make an equivalent. Until then, CompareZM it is!!

Great Jim. Way out of my league just yet, but just wanted to say there was an article on this very concept in Photoplus Magazine a few months back, and the results were as you are demonstrating here. Magnificent. Love it.

Actually, this is built into Photoshop CS4 if you have it.
It's great for those "hyperfocal" images when you can't use a small f/stop and for macro shots.

Here's a tutorial.

I use Lightroom. CompareZM was very easy to use, so I'll probably stick with it.

I would try it, but I run a Mac....

For Mac, the built in function is the only reasonable tool for this...
