Ok, new year, new venture. I finally decided to give photographing water drops a try. I took about 150 photos and these are the best ones.

I didn't have a lot of time, so this was just a quick set up to see if I could even do it. I read a few other threads on dps about water drops and thought I could give it a try.
These photos are cropped and the contrast is boosted a bit in post.
The lighting was not ideal, only overhead lights and one floor lamp. (I do have a better light set-up I could try, but didn't want to haul it out if the shots wouldn't even work.
I used a clear glass bowl with blue cardstock under and behind it. I used a turkey baster to do the drops. (I couldn't find anything else in the house that would work.) I set the cable release on the camera to burst (about 1 every 8 sec.) then just started dripping the water. I tried to time it to go with the flash or get in a pattern of every second, but that was really hard to do!

Any tips or advice on how to improve? Or what I could do with these photos?
I plan on making water drops my "January project" so I hope to attempt this several more times. I would love any comments or critique you have!

PS- One thing I already learned is to NOT put the blue cardstock under the bowl! Water splashed over the bowl (since it was filled to the top) and got the cardstock wet. Which then bled blue ink/dye/whatever onto my white countertop!! A lot of bleach/cleaners/scrubbing/elbow grease finally got it out - I think.

Mysticeyesx, thanks for the comment.

I was hoping to get one with more of a crown effect, but had no such luck.
Hopefully I will get one on one of my future attempts.

Has anyone ever tried Champagne or tonic water? Now I have to go try this out. Thanks for sharing.
