I'm fairly new to digital photography and shoot with a Nikon D80 with a 50mm lens for my macro work. My flower shots are gorgeous except for those done in daylight that are bright to dark red. On those the color bleeds and I lose the definition of the flower petals. Can anyone please give me some advice? I try to avoid the time of day with high sun angles but the red flowers seem to bleed no matter what time of day I shoot.
Thanks! |

Shoot in diffuse light? e.g., a foggy day

I've had that problem too, and it seems if you take away some of the vivid-ness from the in-camera processing, then the bleeding can somewhat be thwarted.
