Hello,
I have a Canon 60mm Macro Lens. It is a great lens but I feel that I don't have enough reach and end up being very close to the subject. I am thinking about getting an extension tube but I am not sure if I should get the Canon 12mm Extension Tube or the Canon 25mm Extension Tube. Any suggestions? |

If you want more working distance between the lens and the subject you need a longer focal length lens. I'm not sure if there's a teleconvertor that fits your 60mm and even if there is a good quality one is likely to be expensive and will still compromise image quality.

I just purchased the Kenko 3-tub set and since there is no glass involved, I see no reason why these aren't a perfectly reasonable choice. Autofocus and metering seem to work just fine.

Errr.. Kenko set can't be used with EF-S lenses unless you take a Dremel tool to 'em. The $80 Pro Optic set is cheaper and EF-S compatible, but build quality not as nice as the Kenkos. The $60 plastic-mount Pro Optic set is dirt cheap.

AFAIK the new Kenko tubes are EF-S compatible. I've seen them advertised as such anyway.

Cool. It wouldn't be hard for them to have made them EF-S compatible (they just had to make the plastic flange inside the tubes narrower). Glad to hear they're doing that.
--- Addendum. Ah. Found it. If they're marked "for C/AF" they won't take EF-S. If they're marked "for C/AFs" they will.

Exactly--you just have to be sure what you buy. Mine work just fine.
