Default Crustal Cave

Rocks 001-B
I took this shot in a darkened room, using only the onboard flash. The larger image (on Flickr) shows the detail better. There is also a shot of the entire geode. I'm still trying to get the hang of taking Macro shots, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think its a cool shot and reminds me of the mouth of some sort of monster....
ever try a red laser pointer shining in there to light it up a bit different?

If you are hand holding, try using a tripod.

Thanks. I continued my lighting experiments, and posted the resulting shots on Flickr. I even used a lazer pointer on some. The beam from the lazer breaks up and causes alot of noise in a crystal or any semi-transparent object, but the effect can look pretty cool.
