I've seen surprisingly few of these this year...hope you've got plenty of 'em doon your way!

This one is a female and is possibly just having a rest - they're orb weavers that would usually make a web and then sit in the middle waiting for something to get caught in it if they're hungry. I think they also mate on the web with the male going wandering to find a female.
