Exclamation Macro Lens Question

I'm Looking Into Buying A Macro Lens For My Canon A540. I Was Wondering If Anyone Has A Canon A540 And The Macro Lens And Wouldn't Mind Doing Me A Favor. I'm Asking This So I Can Make An Educated Buy When I Buy A Macro Lens For My Canon PowerShot A540. The Favor Is Taking A Photo At Diffrent Zooms With And Without The Macro And Label The Photos. Thank You In Advance. In Return I Will Promote Your Site On Mine!

IIRC, you just bought your A540. Just doing a quick scan of prices for that camera, I have to ask. Have you considered returning that camera (if possible) and buying an used Canon Digital Rebel (the first generation, 6.3 megapixels) or the semi-pro version, the Canon 10D instead? I ask simply because you show such a strong interest in photography and seem to be willing to spend money on attachments to the camera.

According to my calculations, the camera along with the lens adapter and the closeup macro filter will run you what you could get the Canon Digital Rebel for on eBay with the kit lens. Just a suggestion, cause that would be the route I'd go. That way, when you spend money on lenses or filters, they can be used over and over again, even if you upgrade cameras later down the road.
