I like both of these. Good lighting and color contrast and I like the low angle they are shot from. Like Digidave, I'm not too keen on the shiny reflection on the red mushroom, but that's my only complaint. The narrow depth of field works to keep the foreground and background pleasantly blurred while still being deep enought to keep both subjects completely in focus.
I think the reason I really like photos of fungus is due to the really interesting environments they require to grow. Usually dark, damp, and with a lot of earthy debris. It just sets a nice mood which you captured well here.

Both nice shots with a great use of depth of field. The second with its specular background, multi-coloured moss and right third composition is fantastic. Agree with the flash/highlight on this one though but its certainly not a show stopper. Maybe you could burn it down a bit in photoshop or similar.

Thanks guys for the comment and advise. I agree that the shiny part looks not natural. It was the sun directly above my head that time, I didn't use the flash.
May I can eliminate the shiny part with photoshop.

![]() This is the Red Fungi after I edited. I tried dodge/burn but not good the result and I tried to adjust the highlight but it effected the rest of the photos area so I end up using stamp clone to fix it without disturbing the background. What do you think?
