I'm hoping that someone can answer my question. I'm trying to find a macro reverse mount adapter for my Canon Rebel XT. My friend found a 52mm for her Nikon that works, but we cannot find one for the Canon. Does anyone know what size I would need and where I could purchase one? I did find one on Ebay that is a 52mm, but will this fit on my 50mm 1.8 and then on my body? I'm confused, because my friend's Nikon 52mm adapter ring fits on my Nifty Fifty, but then the opening on my Canon body is larger than the opening on her Nikon body, so it doesn't fit.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. Shelley |

Fotodiox makes 52mm and 58mm macro reverse mount rings for EOS and I think you can also find them on Amazon. You could also mount a reversed lens in front of a regular lens using macro coupling rings from Adorama for about $9 apiece, and there are step-up and step-down rings for different filter thread sizes.

Any good at Do-it-yourself? You will need a canon body cap, and a filter ring to fit your lens' filter thread.(an old useless uv filter will do)-knock out the glass and using epoxy adhesive,("Araldite") Glue the filter ring to the front of the body cap, threads outermost. leave to set for 24 hrs. when set,cut hole out of bodycap to same size as inside of filter ring. Attach bodycap/filter ring combination to camera body-screw reversed lens onto filter-ring thread-"Voila!"-Macro lens! Regards, Ken
