I am looking for opinions and suggestions as to which Point and Shoot cameras, preferably newer models, have the best "stock" , from the factory, macro feature.
I would like to purchase a Point and Shoot that I do not have to add any aftermarket lens, extensions, or duct tape an old 35mm lense in backwards to get a good macro shot. Looking for something out of the box that has a superb macro feature so when I am experienced enough to add all the aftermarket lenses or fabrications for more detail I do not have to rework the whole lense system. This question may have already been answered here but I did a search and could not find exactly what I was looking for. ![]() Thank you in advance for any suggestions |

I recently bought a FujiFilm FinePix s8100 fd from amazon for about £180, and i love it
it has a 10MP lens, up to 18x OPTICAL zoom, up to 1cm Super Macro, and it also gives the option of full manual control if you want Great camera. There's also a pretty good review of it on CNET. To see what the picture quality is like have a look in my signature for a link to my Flickr page where all of the photos are taken by it

Panasonic DMC-FZ18 has a practically 0 cm focusing distance on wide macro and 30cm (if I remember correctly) on the tele angle. 8MP, 18x optical zoom, RAW, full manual settings
