Hey everyone,
I was thinking about buying a Macro lens for my Sony a200 but the Sony Macro lenses are quite expensive and I read some online articles on Screw In Macro Filters that are cheap and magnify your image. I wanted to see what your opinion is on screw in filters!

My opinion is that they're not macro lenses and not as good, but they're very inexpensive and fun to play with, and you can get some good results, so why not? I have some. I have a few photos I like with them, although I have to confess I haven't used them much since I got them (in January). I've been having more fun playing with macro photos by reversing a prime lens on my camera (my 50mm), which also works. You can do it by holding the lens to your camera or by using a reversal ring, which you can buy inexpensively on e-bay.
