![]() Olympus E-500 35mm,f8,1/80.iso400. I really need to get a flash just for macro shots as I dont like using iso set at such a high level.

Next time you do it you should take an overview shot of how you have set it up, would love to see how you would do it. ------ The flower btw looks great, love all the different colours in the centre. Depending on your dominant hand, keep the fishing line in a side pocket, one end safety-pinned to the pocket. Attach an alligator clip (or strong clothes pin) to the other end of about 3 feet of line. I get from 2 inches to about 18 inches away from blooms (extreme close-up to Macro), so it's a matter of looping line around stem, adjusting it to pull the bloom into position, and then clipping onto some other part of clothing.
If you need to be farther away, tie large nails to each end of appropriate length of line and stick each end into ground.

I think I like the idea of the them tied to the ground betetr than tied to me. For me I dont have a great sense of balance and would move and cause the flower to move.
Since we have been having 35mph wind gusts latley I think those are too strong to try out the fishing line, but I do have some I just bought so i can try it out!
