Default Attempting a Macro Wasp

This shot was taken in the backyard. This wild flower opens up only in the morning.

Phil's Place, Welcome

Enviably sharp, good DoF with important foreground, crop of left side is almost forgivable. Better than an attempt, well done.

Very well done! Maybe the lighting is a little harsh I think.

Oh, and by the way - as Tunedout subtly points out - it's not a wasp, but a kind of hoverfly. Perfectly harmless. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hover_flies

Hover Fly or Wasp, It is a beautiful photo. The colors and clarity are great. Great macro shot. What kind of flower is this?
