Hi I am new here in Digital Photography School. I want to know more about the canon 500d close up lens. Does anyone have one? I am considering to buy one since I still don't have a budget on macro lens. I plan to attached it to my canon 24-70 L lens. Please do give me some advice regarding the pros and cons of using a close up lens. Thank you very much

raynox make nice lens for this, but im not sure if thay will fit on ur 24-70. The raynox len can work amazingly well with some lens combos (my best lens for it is my 50-200 kit lens). You will be shooting at like f8 to f22 sometimes just to get enuf depth of field so you dont need large apertures and u focus by moving the camera back/forward.
Raynox website thay have a few options, i have the 250, but the 150 or the other might be a bit better depending on what you want to do.. the 250 meens you have to get ur camera pretty close to the subject to focus wich can scare some insects but it also gives the highest magnification. |
