Default How do you do water drops?

Anything special to get them looking nice?

I am having trouble exposing it properly while using a high shutter speed, am I doing anything wrong or do I just need more light? Is sunlight enough (it was a pretty dull day) or do i need to use additional lights?

Pretty new to this still so nothing too complicated please
