I like the texture of the iris and the way the camera is reflected in the pupil! Not so keen on the large blown out white area, but hey you can't have everything. Fun shot!

hi, first of all how did you set the aperture when you revesied the lens.

and also the 55mm focal length will be completly diffrent when the lens is reversed.

finallly, how did you flash that close without having that horrible shawdow from the lens

how do you reverse your lens ? I've never heard this before. Interesting shot.

I am totally new to this so hopefully will be able to get some answers. A few weeks back I read on my DPS newsletter about super macro and was immediately keen to try it. I have a Canon 50D, a Sigma 150 mm macro lens and hoped to get an adaptor ring to reverse my Canon 17-40 L series lens on to Sigma lens...no luck but my supplier managed to supply an adaptor ring to link the Sigma to my 35-70 Canon lens. Now having joined these lens I cannot get a focus on anything...just a blur. Can any kind soul shed any light on what the problem might be?

It's called Stacking.
Well the basics are at least. Take an old film lens or one that wont close the blades when you detach the lens and hold it up your the one on your camera.

Cam is on Tripod,
your left hand holds a second lens up to the fist lens that is on your cam,
and you move in and out to focus.
That is stacking Lens..
