My first try at Macro shots, with 75-300mm lens

Looks superb for a first go and good job in using a tripod The exposure is good and the focus looks good too...although judging by the angle and the DoF required for it I'd say this is a crop from a wider shot....but I can let you off with that if you don't have a macro lens (Macro written on the side of a zoom doesn't make it a macro lens! Being able to shoot at 1:1 or greater magnification makes a lens a macro lens.)

Keep practicing and I look forward to seeing more shots done in more natural surroundings (unless it's the studio look you're going for?).
