Default First attempt on macro

This was taken with the D40 kit lens, I'm buying a Tokina 100mm macro fairly soon, but i saw this little ant like thing half the size of a cockroach eating the head of a cockroach so i had to take a picture, it probably took about 20 tries before i got this:

Thanks.

Dear Deox,

I like the colours on this photo. The multi-layer painting of the wood made an interesting surrounding for the insects. The diagonal composition is also fine. The small one and their contact is sharp. Could you move your camera around? If you do so, the sharp plane will move as well and you can make both insects (or more parts) sharp. Maybe a slight movement to right could help in this. The diagonal composition remains if you also nod the camera itself. I would recommend that viewpoint because the bigger one is too blurred to my taste.
This is very nice as first attempt, congratulations! This type of macro photography requires patience and good luck... Have fun with that new objective!
