Default Moving Spider

This is the first time I have tried to capture a moving subject by "panning" the camera along side it. I had been shooting stills of flowers, so my camera was set to aperture priority, when I saw this guy hurrying to get out of sight. I didn't have time to change my settings, to shutter priority, so I panned the camera along with his movements. The plain looking background is white siding (House), so there isn't anything of interest (or to distract), behind him. I'm glad he was a rather large specimen (about 4 cm. across leg tip to leg tip). I'm rather pleased with the resulting shot, however I do wish the background had been different. Any comments or suggestions from the forum will be greatly appreciated.

Looks like an Orb Weaver. I have some around my house as well. You got a great shot. Here's one of mine, but not the best. Like yours, a house for a background:

Arphot, I think it is the same kind of spider. The background on your shot looks better than mine!

Thanks FF. I think I'd rather the spider be better in this case though . .. LOL
