Default Reverse Lens Macro - Pencil Point

Here's another of my first macro shots. It was also done with my Sigma 28-70mm and my Canon 50mm.

That's a strong image, sharp, even showing the little dimple in the tip!

Looks like something from outer space coming in for a landing.

The similarity is kind of funny. I have to say I like the photo that is the subject of this post the best of the three. I think because it is shot at an angle instead of dead center. The results is a captivating gamut of colors from almost black in the upper left, to deep green in the upper right and deep orange red in the lower right. Very strong and appealing image. Beautifully done.

I have similar photos in my collection and they are good but DOF is very small with this equipment...

This is quite beautiful and to me looks like a comet in outer space. The colors are intriguing.
