Default 150mm Sigma f2.8

Here's a couple from my Sigma 150 on my D300. Can't say enough good things about this lens. If you're into macros go get one.

Granny Smith

Primula

Very nice. It does appear that this is a good lens to have. How much do these generally run?

Suddenly got an urge for a piece of apple pie wonder why?

Great shots, seems like a very sharp lens.

what's the f stop on these shots? 2.8? i imagine 2.8 wouldn't bokeh out the edges of the apple or the flower that much, but then again it's 150mm so hyperfocal should add the extra blur... but that is razor sharp.

Both shot at f8. There's very little dof with this lens. Dof chart shows no dof at 2.8 closer than 0.52m where it's a massive 2mm deep!. Any nearer and only the plane of focus itself is sharp. f8 at 0.7m which is about where this was gives you 8mm dof.
