    Default macro Q's

    Hi First off sorry if this is in the wrong thread . But i need advice on how to get a macro shot of a flower but with a blurred effect (ie what macro lenses do i need ? )
    Camera is FugiFinePix S6500FD

    You may not need any additional lenses. Have you tried it in macro shooting mode?

    Not sure what you mean by a blurred effect...

    Anyway, that camera has a fixed lens. That means you can't swap on a different one. It should have a macro mode, and my old Fuji did macros pretty well.

    OOoohhh I started with that camera.

    2 things should do it,
    Set it to Av/A mode (aperture), spin the dial until you get the lowest F number you can.
    Then walk away from the flower, turn around, zoom in all the way.
    Focus and take the shot - that should do it.

    Also, you can't add lenses to your camera, it's stuck on. What you might be thinking of is "close up filters", which screw on the front. Don't bother, they are useless.

    I had the same camera up until about 2 months ago, What Biomech said always worked for me, although I also would say just play around with it. The angle ,the Zoom, the settings, just play around with everything until you get the shot you want. Thats what I've been doing and I find myself getting better ,and better the more I experiment

    Thanks i was going to get macro filters , What i was looking for is taking a photo of a flower with the center clear and crisp but the out side blurred a bit

    Yeah I bought some of those from ebay, they are completely useless. What I said will do the job for you
