Default Carnage

The things you find in lamps: these are a small portion of the collected mass making the lights flicker. Shot in Macro with Fuji FP S3100 in sunlight on white paper, Auto-everything, no flash, cropped, with contrast bump.

I never would have thought to take a shot of this. I try to clean out those things as fast as I can and looking as little as possible! I like the white background and the composition with the mass of bugs at the top leading into a few scattered at the bottom. The large bugs (odd 3) mixed in add to the visual interest. For a bunch of dead bugs as a subject, I kind of like it .

Saralonde,

This is part of that after-cabin-fever just-before-buds Macro-anything shooting. Also gaining respect for Fuji and sunshine; what a difference natural light makes. Thanks, Lady, for objectivity. The textures and coloring drew my eye; it's something more than debris.

It just shows there are interesting photos everywhere, just waiting to be taken. We just have to be open to recognizing them.

Default Your photo was a hit......

with my pet tree frog! And now I want to try taking a picture of my koi ponds (AKA the mosquito farms) in macro. I wanted you to know your capture of carnage has inspired me to look at the birth of those skeeters in a more positive way. Now where is my OFF?

Oni,

Always a treat to hear from you, and to learn your critters are not all four-legged. I'm thinking if you don an old pair of jeans with a hole in the knee, and you spray OFF on everything but that knee, you might catch some courtship shots, or maybe malaria. Eagerly awaiting results of your hunt!
