I really like the second one - great use of DOF, wonderful colors.
The first one is nice, but I might have cropped it differently - the background really doesn't add anything to the shot... otherwise great detail in the petals. Nice work

Nice pics. Thanks for posting. I need to get a lense that I can do this kind of photography. I only recently got into dslr photography, having been in slr photography for 30 years. It's a whole new set of equipment for me and I started off fairly limited as far as lenses. I like what you have hear and hope to be doing the same sort of thing very soon.

wonderful shots of those flowers. i agree cropping the first one a bit tighter would improve.... the color and detail is great.
