Default symmetry in nature

This flower is less than an inch in diameter, but very symmetric and interesting.I tried making the picture symmetric too.

Somehow the version above has loads of 'jaggies' from sharpening but the versions in the link look fine? The flower is very nice but the background in a bit cluttered...could you have shot at the telephoto end of the zoom to reduce the angle of view or does that reduce your minimum focus too much?

I took it very quickly and was too near to use maximum zoom, maybe the background can be darkened in pp
